Desloratadine comes in a class of medications called antihistamines or antiallergic. The tablet work by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) that is responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing in an allergy. Montelukast is known as a leukotriene antagonist used to prevent the symptoms of asthma. It helps in stopping the action of another chemical messenger (leukotriene). The tablet reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways or the nose and provides easy breathing for a person. It treats the symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as itchiness and a blocked or runny nose.
